Staff Engineer - Platform Security Engineering – Encryption and Tokenization

What you'll do

• Lead the design and development of encryption, tokenization, and key management solutions.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for encryption and tokenization services.
• Align cryptographic solutions with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to architectural decisions for scalable and resilient key management systems.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and operational excellence.
• Integrate encryption and tokenization solutions that support business goals.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, cost efficiency, and developer experience.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of experience in encryption, tokenization, key management, or cryptography.
• Strong understanding of cryptographic libraries and protocols (e.g., FPE, AEAD).
• Experience designing secure, scalable data protection solutions using open-source tools.
• Proven problem-solving skills with a security-first mindset and risk mitigation approach.
• Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure) for building and operating systems.
• Strong software engineering background, preferably in Go, with experience in production services.
• Experience applying SRE practices including monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
