As a Senior Technical Product Manager within Zoro’s Enterprise Platform Engineering organization, you will shape platform strategy and architectural intent in partnership with the Director of Platform Engineering and Staff Platform Engineers. Your role involves defining logical system boundaries, aligning stakeholders around measurable outcomes, and ensuring delivery aligns with approved architectural intent while focusing on business priorities such as compliance (PCI, SOX, NIST CSF), cost awareness, and operational sustainability. You will manage platform evolution through sequencing, investment trade-offs, and deprecation strategy, and ensure solutions are viable, operable, resilient, and scalable. The ideal candidate has experience in technical product management, cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures, along with strong communication skills to align cross-functional stakeholders. Experience in ecommerce or high-scale B2B technology environments is preferred.

What you'll do

  • Manage platform evolution through sequencing, investment trade-offs, and deprecation strategy.
  • Ensure solution viability by assessing operability, resilience, scalability, and cost implications early.
  • Validate solutions can be sustainably supported by engineering and operational teams.
  • Identify and document compliance, cybersecurity, and risk considerations in Solution Assessments.

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of experience in technical product management or related leadership roles
  • Proven ability to define system-level solutions for complex, cross-team initiatives
  • Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and distributed systems
  • Experience managing event-driven architectures and articulating trade-offs across cost, risk, compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for aligning cross-functional stakeholders
