What this job involves:
This Sr. Project Manager position oversees critical environments and facility operations across multiple sites, ensuring operational excellence, risk management, and compliance with corporate standards. You'll lead a team of supervisors and facility managers while managing budgets, implementing corporate initiatives, and maintaining 24/7 operational readiness. The role requires balancing strategic oversight with hands-on problem-solving to deliver high-quality facility operations and maintenance services.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Preparing and managing budgets, financial reports, and operational reporting related to CPI measurement and site performance metrics
• Implementing and overseeing corporate processes, procedures, and Operational Excellence initiatives across all assigned facilities
• Managing and monitoring the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track maintenance work, labor hours, preventative maintenance, and reactive work tickets
• Conducting regular audits to ensure high standards of operational excellence, safety protocols, and compliance with Environmental Health and Safety, Security, Energy, and Waste Management programs
• Leading, training, and evaluating supervisors, Critical Environments managers, and facility staff while handling hiring, performance reviews, and corrective actions
• Coordinating with clients, support groups, and contractors to establish priorities, evaluate quotes, and ensure subcontractors meet qualification standards
• Reviewing and approving expense reports, ensuring efficient team staffing utilization, and managing contractor on-boarding processes with corporate contracts administration
• Preparing business cases for proposed projects or system modifications and providing data for formal studies, evaluations, and status reports
• Ensuring Work Orders, STOPS/MOPS/MMRs, and corporate training programs are properly implemented and maintained at all sites
Desired experience and technical skills:
Requirements:
• Demonstrated expertise in critical environments and facility operations management, including risk management and analytical problem-solving abilities
• Proven supervisory experience managing multiple supervisors and facility managers across regional portfolios
• Strong knowledge of CMMS platforms and their application in tracking maintenance operations and generating performance metrics
• Experience with budget preparation, financial reporting, and operational cost management
• Understanding of Environmental Health and Safety, Security, Energy, and Waste Management compliance requirements
• Availability for 24/7 emergency response activities and critical incident management
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to coordinate effectively across clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Strong sense of ownership, resourcefulness, and commitment to teamwork
Preferred:
• Experience implementing Operational Excellence initiatives and corporate process standardization
• Background in contractor and vendor qualification, evaluation, and on-boarding processes
• Familiarity with preparing business cases and conducting formal technical evaluations
• Experience with code compliance review and specification verification for contractor work
