Your daily responsibilities include validating machine-generated analysis results, identifying gaps in automated outputs, and guiding tools to achieve deeper behavioral understanding of complex threats. You will analyze large sample sets, distinguish high-impact threats from commodity noise, and perform targeted reversing on critical code paths. Key skills required are proficiency in reverse engineering concepts (x86/x64 assembly), experience with malware analysis tools like Ghidra or IDA Pro, and programming knowledge in C/C++ and Python. You will also contribute to detection development using YARA rules and collaborate on improving automated analysis pipelines. This role demands a strong curiosity for uncovering adversarial tactics and the ability to work effectively at scale with incomplete data.
Review and validate AI-generated static and dynamic analysis results of malware.
Analyze large sample sets to cluster malware into families and campaigns.
Perform targeted reverse engineering on critical code paths for complex malware.
Recognize common exploitation patterns and assist in reconstructing exploit chains.
Contribute to high-quality detection logic using YARA, behavioral rules, heuristics.
Work with automated analysis pipelines and improve analysis workflows continuously.
What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in software or security engineering with focus on malware analysis.
Proficient in reverse engineering concepts including x86/x64 assembly and calling conventions.
Expertise in C/C++ and Python programming, familiarity with YARA detection frameworks.
Experience using tools like Ghidra, IDA Pro, Binary Ninja for static and dynamic analysis.
Understanding of OS internals (Windows/Linux) and common malware techniques such as packing and injection.
Ability to critically evaluate machine-generated analysis and work effectively at scale.
