This role demands proficiency in low-level debugging and efficient coding practices for high-speed optical transceivers.

What you'll do

  • Lead the architecture and design of complex optical sub-systems for future Acacia SOCs.
  • Develop embedded CPU code to configure and manage Acacia’s coherent transceivers.
  • Collaborate with Chip, DSP, and Optics architects to drive innovation in products.
  • Interface with Hardware, ASIC, Optical, and DSP teams for system software development.
  • Participate in customer technical discussions related to Acacia SW architecture and design.
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to efficient algorithm development for embedded CPUs.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years or Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in telecommunications.
  • Extensive experience with C++ and C programming languages.
  • Demonstrated expertise in embedded firmware development for control and data paths.
  • Proven ability to program on bare metal and RTOS environments for embedded CPUs.
  • Strong background in developing software state machines and efficient code for hardware control.
  • Experience leading software/firmware teams and driving cross-functional requirements.
