Wells Fargo’s Global Payments Technology team is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead the development of critical payments and fraud services for domestic and international transactions. This senior manager will oversee a diverse team of engineers, both full-time employees and contractors, in an agile environment, ensuring application stability and availability while driving strategic initiatives from conception to delivery. Key responsibilities include managing end-to-end lifecycle processes, mentoring talent, and implementing AI-driven solutions. The role requires expertise in Java, web services, micro front-end UIs, domain-driven design, automation, DevOps, BPM platforms, databases like Oracle and MongoDB, Kafka/MQ, React UI design, and SDLC tools, along with extensive cloud and agile experience. Ideal candidates will have a background in payments technology and the ability to manage high-impact production incidents in a customer-facing environment.
Manage a team of engineers to ensure application availability and stability.
Lead design, development, support, and vulnerability management for payment systems.
Deliver strategic initiatives in an agile environment while meeting OKRs.

What we're looking for
Over 5 years of management or leadership experience in software engineering teams
Proficient in Java, web services, Micro Front End UI, Domain Driven Design, Automation, DevOps, BPM platforms, databases (Oracle, Mongo), Kafka/MQ, and SDLC tools
At least 4 years of hands-on Cloud experience
Strong Agile Methodology expertise with over 4 years of practical application
Proven track record in talent development, finance forecasting, risk management, and presenting to senior leadership
Experience managing diverse, geographically distributed teams including production support in fast-paced environments
