As a full-stack engineer on the Pay with Venmo team, you will work closely with experienced colleagues to build and enhance checkout experiences for millions of users and merchants. Your daily tasks include developing backend services using GraphQL to orchestrate payment flows and creating web frontend interfaces that integrate seamlessly with PayPal Checkout and Braintree. You will write clean, well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and collaborate across teams to deliver features efficiently. Additionally, you will debug issues throughout the checkout process and contribute to engineering standards related to testing, CI/CD, observability, and on-call practices. The role requires proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and at least one modern frontend framework like React, as well as foundational knowledge of backend technologies and APIs. Familiarity with version control systems, agile development, and cloud services is preferred, along with a strong desire to learn and grow within the fast-paced payments infrastructure domain.
