Broadcom’s Application Networking and Security division seeks a Senior Software Engineer to join its Container Security team, where you will design and develop scalable security solutions for enterprise data centers. Your daily tasks include implementing network policies, runtime threat detection, Kubernetes security posture enforcement, and securing distributed workloads using Go. You’ll own components from design through production support, write automated tests, lead code reviews, and collaborate with networking and QA teams in an agile environment. Ideal candidates have deep experience with Kubernetes internals, strong Go skills, knowledge of container security, network policies, and high-volume data systems like ClickHouse, as well as troubleshooting and observability expertise.
Design and implement network policy enforcement between pods, namespaces, and clusters.
Develop runtime threat detection capabilities to identify security anomalies and violations.
Enforce Kubernetes pod security standards and RBAC policies across the cluster lifecycle.
Secure distributed and stateful workloads running on Kubernetes via operators or StatefulSets.
Build audit log pipelines for large-scale security event ingestion and analysis using ClickHouse.
Write automated tests to validate security correctness and prevent regressions in production.
Debug complex issues across Kubernetes control plane, networking layers, and cluster-level systems.
What we're looking for
Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes internals, including control plane, kubelet lifecycle, CRDs, admission webhooks.
Strong Go programming skills for building operators, controllers, microservices, or CLI tools.
Solid understanding of container security principles, including pod security standards, RBAC, and secrets management.
Experience with distributed systems and stateful workloads, such as consensus, replication, fault tolerance in Kubernetes.
Exposure to high-volume data systems like ClickHouse for large-scale security event ingestion and querying.
Strong troubleshooting and observability skills using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, kubectl debug, crictl.
Bachelor's degree plus 12+ years of related experience or Master's degree plus 10+ years in a relevant field.
