Join our Development Sciences team as a senior AI/ML computational scientist within the Translational Safety Digital Pathology group. You will develop and implement image-analysis methods using classical and modern approaches to support preclinical safety assessments. Your daily tasks include collaborating with pathologists, toxicologists, and other scientists to extract quantitative insights from digital histopathology images, design analytical strategies, and interpret findings in a biological context. Proficiency in Python, experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, and strong problem-solving skills are essential. Preferred candidates have expertise in digital pathology, whole-slide image analysis, statistical analysis, data visualization, and familiarity with tools such as OpenSlide, QuPath, HALO, and Visiopharm. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team advancing computational solutions for biomedical imaging challenges in drug discovery and development.
Developing and applying computational image-analysis methods using machine learning and deep learning.

What we're looking for
PhD in a quantitative field such as biomedical engineering or computer science.
Strong background in image analysis, machine learning, and deep learning.
Proficiency in Python for scientific computing and data analysis.
Experience developing computational methods for image-based data analysis.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
Demonstrated skills in statistical analysis and data visualization.
Familiarity with at least one deep learning framework like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
