What you'll do

Define technical standards and vision for Atlas SaaS data platform.
Lead the design and implementation of new features from inception to market.
Oversee large-scale, cross-organizational feature implementations from design through delivery.
Handle production escalations and mentor teammates in customer issue resolution.
Write high-quality database code and improve existing codebase standards.
Drive AI engineering strategy within Atlas Core Data Services organization.

What we're looking for

Minimum 15 years of experience in designing, programming, debugging, and tuning distributed and/or highly concurrent mission-critical software systems.
Expert-level skills in multi-threaded programming, distributed systems at scale, and database internals or core data processing components.
Experience with hosted database ecosystems and best practices for latency-sensitive, high-throughput systems.
Strong technical communication and collaboration skills to mentor engineers and guide technical strategy.
Proven ability to manage time and projects effectively, assessing cost and complexity accurately.
Deep understanding of information security management in software development.
