Senior Sponsored Research Accountant - Finance Division

What you'll do

• Drive financial close process for sponsored projects, ensuring compliance.
• Provide expert guidance on complex regulations to Principal Investigators and administrators.
• Lead federal multi-agency audit responses and maintain regulatory knowledge.
• Architect end-to-end setup of new awards, ensuring alignment with requirements.
• Design financial dashboards and conduct budget-to-actual variance analysis.
• Oversee sub-awardee invoicing, reporting compliance, and monitor key personnel effort.
• Spearhead process improvement initiatives to enhance sponsored project administration.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in grant and contract accounting.
• High proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, Workday, SAP).
• Exceptional analytical skills and ability to interpret complex policies.
• Mastery of federal regulations governing research, including Uniform Guidance.
• Superior communication skills for advising a wide range of stakeholders.
• Experience managing complex awards such as large federal contracts or clinical trials.
