As an experienced Senior Autonomous Vehicle Test Engineer at NVIDIA, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to advancing AI-driven computing solutions for autonomous vehicles. Your primary responsibilities include developing comprehensive test strategies and scenarios for L3 and L4 autonomous driving products, ensuring compliance with functional and safety requirements through close collaboration with engineering, safety, and product teams. You will lead the integration of vehicle systems, manage end-to-end testing processes, and drive issue resolution by conducting data triage and root cause analysis. Proficiency in Python and C++, along with a deep understanding of autonomous vehicle sensor suites and validation methodologies like ISO 26262 and SOTIF, is essential. This role demands strong leadership skills to foster innovation and rigorous testing standards across the organization.

What you'll do

  • Develop test strategies and use cases for L3 and L4 autonomous driving products based on customer needs and regulations.
  • Define vehicle platform test plans and critical performance metrics to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Lead data triage, root cause analysis, and issue resolution, generating comprehensive test reports.
  • Manage end-to-end processes for L3/L4 vehicle integration and retrofitting to advance testing schedules.
  • Scale product ODDs by designing campaigns and roadmaps in collaboration with multi-functional teams.
  • Promote a strong systems engineering approach across the organization to enhance product progress evaluation.

What we're looking for

  • MS or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years of experience in ADAS, system analysis, data analysis, and software architecture.
  • Experience driving mass-production launches of autonomous driving products.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, and data query/analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262, SOTIF (ISO 21448), and V-model validation methodologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to drive alignment across large organizations.
  • Deep understanding of autonomous vehicle sensor suites and their failure modes.
