About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Technology as part of Commercial Banking and Digital Technology organization. The CBD team is on a modernization journey that will utilize modern tech stacks including AI tools/models. As part of this, we are looking for talented Senior Software Engineers to serve as key contributors to innovative, enterprise grade products. This is an opportunity to work on advanced technologies that will impact millions of customers and shape the future of financial services.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and deploy sophisticated applications. You will work within a dedicated engineering pod, partnering with technical leaders to translate architectural designs into robust, scalable, and secure software. This role requires hands on development experience and a strong interest in solving complex technical problems using modern AI capabilities.
*In this role, you will:*
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
*Required Qualifications:*
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of experience in Spring Boot, JPA, Microservices, SQL and NoSQL
- 2+ years of experience in React.js
- 2+ years of experience in Kubernetes/OpenShift
- 2+ years of experience in Apache Kafka/Confluent Enterprise
- 2+ years of Experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence etc.
- 1+ years of experience building and using AI MCPs and Agents
*Desired Qualifications:*
- Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 2+ years of DevOps tool set based continuous incremental delivery experience
- 2+ years working in Cloud platforms
- 2+ years working in Micro Front End and Micro services Architecture
- 2+ years using Oracle/MongoDB
- 2+ years of experience working Domain Driven Development
Job Expectations:
- Must be based in one of the above locations or willing to relocate at your own expense.
- Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule, 3 days onsite.
- This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
