We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Walmart Amends team, responsible for developing highly scalable backend services that process millions of requests daily. In this role, you will design and implement microservices using Java and Spring Boot, build real-time data processing pipelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Frontend, DevOps, and Data Engineering. You will participate in system design discussions, optimize application performance, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience building large-scale distributed systems, strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, and hands-on experience with microservices architecture, SQL and NoSQL databases like Azure Cosmos DB, MySQL, Oracle, and Cassandra, as well as distributed search/cache technologies such as ElasticSearch, Solr, and MemCache. Experience with event streaming platforms like Kafka and Kinesis is also required.
