Design, develop, and deploy scalable streaming services using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink.
Enhance the reliability and performance of Adyen's existing real-time data streaming infrastructure.
Drive company-wide adoption of best practices for real-time data processing and stream handling.
Contribute to the strategic vision and roadmap for Adyen’s streaming platform.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers on the team.
Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for the streaming platform.
What we're looking for
7+ years of backend engineering experience with distributed systems.
Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and/or Apache Flink.
Strong knowledge of Java, including concurrency primitives and dependency injection principles.
Experience with Kubernetes for infrastructure management is preferred.
Ability to enhance the quality, reliability, and performance of streaming infrastructure.
Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills for cross-functional team work.
