As a Senior Software Engineer at Adyen in Madrid, you will join the Financial Products team to build and maintain a distributed high-performance platform for embedded financial services. Your day-to-day responsibilities include contributing to architectural design decisions, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating across teams to ensure scalability and reliability of our finance infrastructure. You will work with Java 17, RESTful web services, SQL/PostgreSQL using MyBatis, Tomcat, Gradle, CockroachDB, and Elasticsearch to develop solutions that enable platforms to manage global payments and financial services seamlessly through API integrations or hosted solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of software architecture, proficiency in database performance optimization, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
