Senior Software Engineer, Microsoft AI, Copilot

What you'll do

• Architect scalable, low-latency systems/data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and serving personalized signals.
• Design robust telemetry, product usage, and experimentation data pipelines.
• Create data models and APIs enabling Copilot to understand user context and preferences.
• Develop real-time and batch personalization engines adapting Copilot’s behavior dynamically.
• Ensure privacy, security, and transparency in personalization features through collaboration.

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of experience building scalable backend services using Python, C#, C++, Golang, Rust, or Java.
• Strong proficiency in designing and maintaining robust data pipelines for telemetry and product usage.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems and APIs to enable real-time personalization engines.
• Expertise in collaborating with privacy, security, and responsible AI teams to ensure safe and transparent user experiences.
• Methodical approach to problem-solving and ability to make risk vs. velocity decisions.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure like Azure, AWS, or GCP for securing applications and services.
