The Observability group is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Evaluation platform team, responsible for developing core services that monitor and optimize AI agent performance at scale. This role involves designing and implementing AI services to support product offerings, collaborating with product management and partner teams to align technical direction with business goals, and taking end-to-end responsibility for development lifecycle and production readiness of these services while driving a DevOps culture within the team. The candidate will engage with customers to gather feedback and resolve complex issues, innovate on technical solutions to enhance system reliability and performance, and work closely with stakeholders to deliver cohesive experiences for Microsoft customers. Preferred qualifications include 6+ years of experience in designing large-scale cloud services, proficiency in languages such as C++, C#, Go, Java, or Python, and at least one year of experience with machine learning or AI systems.
