Join our modernization team as a Senior Software Engineer - Backend and help transform legacy CVS pharmacy systems into a cloud-native platform on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will design and develop microservices for critical patient and drug domains, integrating APIs, enhancing performance, and ensuring seamless operation in a scalable and secure environment. Your daily tasks include developing backend microservices with Java and Spring Boot, building and integrating GraphQL and REST APIs, deploying services on GKE, working with Google Cloud Spanner (Postgres dialect) and Confluent Kafka, and automating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Argo CD. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of backend development experience, expertise in Java and Spring Boot, and hands-on experience with GCP, APIs, pub/sub tools like Kafka, databases such as Postgres, and CI/CD tools.
