What you'll do

Design, build, and ship features for AI platform infrastructure like the LLM proxy.
Develop autonomous agents that participate in software development lifecycle processes.
Build and contribute to the internal plugin marketplace for AI-native practices.
Implement MCP services and templates to facilitate AI-powered workflows across Toast.
Write high-quality code and actively engage in design and code reviews.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable backend services
Demonstrated experience with LLM-powered agents or AI-assisted developer tooling
Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agentic integration frameworks
Strong foundation in Java, Kotlin, or another object-oriented language
Experience with distributed systems, REST APIs, and cloud-native infrastructure
