Role Details
Senior Quality Engineering-Quality Assurance (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Boston, Massachusetts): The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of new and existing automation frameworks, continued evaluation of test cases for inclusion in test regression, test coverage and automation of newly implemented functionality, and development of tools to enable QA efficiencies. Will also work closely with Software Developers and Product Owners in an iterative manner to form and follow quality procedures, standards and specifications ensuring they are met and to deliver the highest quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner. Specific duties of the position include: Creating automated regression scripts using various tools; mentoring junior quality engineers on policies and procedures; creating test plans, procedures, and quality manuals to address a requirements; ensuring that deliverables meet, the customers quality expectations and product integrity requirements; supporting the product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process; identifying root causes of issues found in the production environment and recommending / analyzing corrective measures. Part time telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related technical field plus 3 years as a quality engineer or a test automation specialist or any occupation/title providing relevant work experience.
Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, or related technical field plus 5 years as a quality engineer or a test automation specialist or any occupation/title providing relevant work experience.
Must have: hands-on experience with writing automation test code and utilizing leading industry standard tools (Ranorex, Postman, SoapUI, IDEs, Terminal, IBM RIT, etc.,) and frameworks that can simulate complex multi-system scenarios; proficiency with automated testing types (Unit, Functional, Load, Security, Behavioral, Integration, Component, Contract, End-to-End); understanding of web technologies, including web services, web application services and RESTful APIs; experience with SQL, Stored Procedures, and usage of IBM DB2 related tools and utilities; experience with Scrum, Agile modelling, and adaptive software development; experience with IBM Rational Developer for zOS, build process, and deployment; experience with Production Support activities and root cause analysis; proven ability to apply knowledge and skills to a range of standard and moderately complex activities; proven verbal and written communication skills; and demonstrated experience writing and reviewing technology documents including user guides. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the stated ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years or amount of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently.)

Salary Range:
$140,525 - $180,000 Annual
