About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Front-Line Controls organization within the COO (Chief Operating Technology) Technology group. This role supports the maintenance and enhancement of the Action Plan Implementation Platform, a critical capability enabling the Enterprise to execute and track regulatory and externally mandated deliverables.
This position plays a key role in developing, enhancing, and supporting technology solutions that underpin Front-Line Controls processes across lines of business. The platform is foundational to workflow management, alerting, and system integrations that support enterprise risk and control operations. While building new capabilities and supporting existing technology applications, you will act as a strong individual contributor, developing solutions primarily using Microsoft Power Platform and associated technologies. You will help deliver end-to-end functionality by enabling workflow and alerting features, integrating with upstream systems, and supporting evolving business and compliance needs.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps), with a focus on scalable, production-grade solutions
- Proficient in data integration and persistence, with hands-on experience using relational and NoSQL database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, MongoDB)
- Experience developing enterprise applications using modern frameworks and platforms such as Java/Spring Boot, Angular, and .NET, following secure SDLC and engineering best practices
- Working knowledge of Generative AI tools and capabilities, with the ability to evaluate and apply them to improve developer productivity or business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams and deliver results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including the ability to diagnose complex issues and make sound, risk-aware decisions
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technology, product, and business partners
