Join Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s Compute team as a Senior Member of Technical Staff to design and build the next generation of bare-metal provisioning systems that power millions of servers globally. You will leverage C++, Java, Python, Terraform, Docker, and other tools to design robust distributed systems and improve the status quo independently. Ideal candidates have 3-8 years of experience in large-scale system development, Linux, and distributed persistence technologies, with a passion for building scalable cloud infrastructure solutions.

What you'll do

Design and develop major components of Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure software.
Tackle complex distributed systems challenges to ensure high reliability and performance.
Develop highly reliable and secure infrastructure for millions of servers worldwide.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch, scale, and maintain new server platforms.
Build micro-services and tooling that provision, configure, secure, and validate server platforms.

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience in developing and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like C++ or Java and scripting languages such as Python.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, specifically Terraform.
Strong understanding of databases, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
Expertise in Linux development and system debugging.
Ability to design and develop broad distributed system interactions independently.
