As a Senior Lead Information Security Office Consultant at Capital One, you will join the dynamic and innovative Information Security team to consult on initiatives that enhance security across various business units. Your daily responsibilities include acting as a central point of contact for Data Protection Service, Endpoint Security, and Cyber Intelligence services, coordinating proactive consulting on Infrastructure Security, Resiliency, Data Security, Network Architecture, and User Access Management. You will leverage your expertise in Cloud Service technologies such as Storage Services, Security & Access Control Management, Container Services, and API Implementation to ensure robust security measures are in place. Ideal candidates possess at least five years of experience in cybersecurity guidance, risk assessments, cloud infrastructure, and cloud security engineering, with a preference for hands-on experience with public clouds like AWS, GCP, or Azure, as well as familiarity with Agile methodologies and software security architecture.
Act as the primary Information Security contact for critical services like Data Protection and Endpoint Security.
Coordinate and execute proactive security consulting across business and technology teams on infrastructure and data security issues.
Serve as an expert in Capital One’s Information Security policies, procedures, and standards.
Provide specialized support on emerging Information Security topics affecting the organization.
Maintain a deep understanding of strategic business objectives and drive results aligned with these goals.
What we're looking for
At least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity guidance and oversight
Deep understanding of cloud security engineering and public cloud environment securing
Strong conceptual thinking and communication skills with leadership abilities
Experience in architecture, software design, networking, or cloud infrastructure
Familiarity with various Cloud computing models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and their differences
Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality
