What you'll do

  • Own and lead the site EHS management system.
  • Ensure compliance with UK environmental and occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Oversee risk assessment programs for manufacturing processes, laboratories, equipment, and new technology introductions.
  • Manage hazardous materials, waste, and toxic gas safety programs in compliance with COSHH and DSEAR.
  • Lead investigations of significant incidents, near-misses, and high-potential events.
  • Serve as the site EHS lead during emergency events and coordinate response activities.

What we're looking for

  • Expert knowledge of UK EHS regulatory requirements, including practical application.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in Environmental Health & Safety.
  • Proven ability to lead site-level EHS programs and influence senior leaders.
  • Strong risk assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in complex environments.
  • Experience managing EHS professionals or acting as the site EHS lead.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6) or equivalent professional qualification.
