As a Senior Data Engineer at Plaid, you will join the data engineering team to build and maintain scalable data systems that support data-driven decision-making across all departments. Your daily tasks include designing and implementing SQL and Python-based data pipelines, integrating with Golang applications, and using tools like DBT, Airflow, Redshift, Atlan, and Retool to ensure efficient data processing and analysis. You will collaborate closely with various teams such as engineering, product management, business intelligence, and data analysts to establish Plaid’s data strategy and foster a data-first culture. With experience in handling large datasets (500TB+), you should be proficient in SQL, modern data orchestration tools, and have a strong understanding of schema design for analytics. This role offers the chance to lead key projects, advocate for industry best practices, and contribute to Plaid’s mission of enabling faster and more informed business decisions through robust data infrastructure.
Design and maintain high-quality data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other tools.

4+ years of dedicated data engineering experience solving complex issues at scale.
