The Adobe Experience Platform Product Success Engineering team is seeking a Senior Data Engineer & Architect to design and build scalable data systems that power product adoption insights, customer retention analytics, and operational intelligence across Adobe’s enterprise-scale infrastructure. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists and Analytics Engineers to develop logical and physical data models, contribute to platform-wide architectural standards, and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Spark, and Beam. You’ll also implement robust governance frameworks for data integrity and reliability, ensuring trusted production-grade data through automated validation processes and proactive monitoring. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience in data engineering or software engineering, with expertise in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery), distributed processing tools, and event-driven systems like Kafka. Strong communication skills are essential to translate business needs into scalable data solutions and explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Design and evolve enterprise-scale data architecture across warehouses, lakes, and modern data platforms.
Develop logical and physical data models to enable analytics and machine learning use cases.
Build reliable ETL/ELT pipelines integrating data from various systems using orchestration tools.
Optimize data processing workflows for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency with distributed systems.
Design scalable frameworks for managing data integrity, including cataloging, lineage tracking, and automated validation processes.
Establish reliability standards for data services by defining and tracking key service level objectives.
What we're looking for
8+ years experience in data engineering or software engineering with production data platforms.
Strong expertise in cloud data warehouses, schema design, and performance tuning.
Experience building production-grade pipelines using orchestration frameworks and distributed processing tools.
Deep understanding of ETL/ELT patterns, dimensional modeling, and analytics dataset design.
Proficiency in Python & SQL, experience working with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Ability to contribute to data architecture decisions at the system or platform level.
Experience implementing data governance practices including lineage tracking and role-based access controls.
