Senior Cloud Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and build foundational cloud platform components on AWS and GCP for Spectacles.
• Construct shared infrastructure like service mesh, IAM, observability tools for engineering teams to use.
• Ensure services are reliable globally by managing SLOs, on-calls, capacity planning, and incident response.
• Engineer secure compute environments with strong isolation, encryption, and access control guarantees.
• Partner with internal teams to onboard them onto new platform capabilities and ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with Security and Privacy partners to meet Snap's data protection standards.

What we're looking for

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience designing, building, and operating cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on AWS expertise including EC2, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC, KMS for large-scale systems.
• Proficient in Go with production experience using Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals, networking skills, and cloud architecture knowledge.
• Ability to independently drive complex platform projects and solve problems efficiently.
