OCC is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join their dynamic team, focusing on driving complex problem-solving and stakeholder value through effective communication and agile methodologies. This role involves partnering with both business and technology teams to identify scope gaps, define requirements, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting requirements analysis, story decomposition, system integration analysis, and data flow design while adhering to best practices for epics and user stories. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in business systems analysis or a related field, with proficiency in tools like Confluence and Jira, as well as process modeling software such as Visio. Additionally, knowledge of event-driven applications, streaming analytics technologies, cloud platforms (AWS), and data management tools is preferred. The role requires expertise in Python and R for complex data analytics, and candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree with a preference for an MBA or MS.
Identify and bridge scope gaps by understanding current and future states.
Analyze stakeholder needs and develop high-quality user stories.
Facilitate agile activities such as sprint planning and backlog grooming.
Provide requirement analysis support to scrum teams during development.
Collaborate with UI/UX teams to design user interface requirements.
Assist in building cross-team collaboration for integrated component acceptance.
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience in business system analysis or related field
Proven ability to work effectively in an Agile environment with software development teams
Strong communication and problem-solving skills for cross-functional collaboration
Experience using Confluence, Jira, and process modeling tools like Visio
Knowledge of data management, visualization tools (SQL, Figma, Tableau), and complex analytics supported by Python/R
Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with remote teams in different time zones
