Senior AI/ML Engineer

What you'll do

• Translate business and security needs into well-defined AI/ML problem statements.
• Develop and productionize machine learning models for access management and control.
• Integrate ML systems with Uber’s critical identity and authorization services.
• Mentor junior engineers and evangelize best practices in ML development.
• Own end-to-end ML system lifecycle, from requirement to deployment.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years experience translating ambiguous business requirements into AI/ML solutions for risk, fraud, or security contexts.
• Proficiency in a broad range of ML algorithms and frameworks including XGBoost, LightGBM, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Hands-on experience with feature engineering, model development, and productionizing ML pipelines.
• Deep expertise in advanced ML techniques such as ensemble methods, neural networks, and handling complex data challenges.
• Experience working with large-scale data infrastructure systems like Kafka, Pinot, Hive, Cassandra, Spark, Flink.
• Background in access control, authentication, or enterprise security systems and proven ability to lead technical initiatives.
