Join our government client’s security operations team as a Security Systems Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in deploying, operating, and maintaining systems that enable enterprise cybersecurity capabilities. Your daily tasks will include managing network and system architectures, troubleshooting issues across various technical environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational effectiveness through automation. You will leverage the Armis platform for cyber asset management and the Elastic Stack for analytics, while also designing and implementing advanced scripts in Bash, Perl, JavaScript, or Python. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of experience leading security initiatives, a strong background in information security, and certifications like CISSP or CISM. This role requires strategic troubleshooting skills, the ability to optimize existing infrastructure, and excellent communication to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Manage the deployment, operation, and maintenance of cybersecurity systems and infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and secure existing network and system architectures including hardware and software.
Implement and maintain security platforms using Armis for asset management and Elastic Stack for analytics.
Design and implement automation to enhance operational effectiveness in collaboration with teams.
Optimize and extend the capabilities of information security systems through strategic troubleshooting.
What we're looking for
8+ years experience in information security, leading initiatives and implementing security platforms.
Expertise in Armis platform for cyber asset management and Elastic Stack for SIEM analytics.
Proficient in advanced scripting languages like Bash, Perl, JavaScript, or Python for O&M tasks.
Collaborative skills to design automation with Security, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.
Capable of maintaining and optimizing existing security infrastructure in partnership with server/network teams.
CISSP or CISM certification required; assesses and enhances modern security frameworks.
