As a Sales Specialist - Security at Microsoft, you will join the high-performing Solution Specialist team within the Microsoft Security organization to engage directly with large enterprise customers across various business groups. Your primary responsibilities include managing senior-level relationships, identifying security opportunities, and building solutions and business cases to close sales deals. You will collaborate with a virtual team of resources from both Microsoft and partner ecosystems to execute sales strategies that drive consumption and licensing transactions. The role requires deep industry knowledge, technical acumen in cloud security technologies such as Threat Protection, SIEM, and XDR, and familiarity with AI-based security offerings like Security Copilot. Additionally, you should have 7+ years of experience in security-related sales or account management within specific industries, along with relevant certifications like CISSP or CCSP.
Manage senior-level business relationships to understand customer challenges and priorities.
Identify security opportunities and build solutions and business cases to close sales.
Collaborate with a virtual team of resources across Microsoft and partners to execute sales strategies.
Lead end-to-end Security conversations, share best practices, and evaluate opportunities for recommendations.
Conduct business analysis and develop target lists of potential high-potential customers.
What we're looking for
7+ years of security-related sales or account management experience in industries like Healthcare, Government, Education, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Retail.
4+ years of solution or services sales experience with a focus on Microsoft Security and Compliance products.
Deep technical understanding of cloud security technologies including threat protection, SIEM, multi-cloud security, and identity and access management.
Possession of relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SC-500, or Azure AZ-900 is preferred.
Familiarity with Microsoft AI-based security offerings like Security Copilot, M365 Defender, XDR, and Sentinel.
Ability to collaborate effectively across a virtual team of resources within the Microsoft ecosystem.
