As a Principal Software Engineer on the DPU Integrations and Operational Excellence team within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure, you will design, build, test, and deploy automation tools and agents for control and data plane software running on custom-built silicon in various platforms targeting Azure compute and networking use-cases. Your daily tasks include managing field incidents, maintaining dashboards, tracking software/firmware releases, and collaborating cross-functionally to resolve issues efficiently. You will leverage your expertise in networking, storage, or compute cloud platforms, along with experience in developing embedded software for NICs and DPUs/IPUs, to guide the team in identifying testing scopes and creating quality plans. Proficiency in Azure or similar large-scale cloud computing infrastructure, telemetry, monitoring, diagnostics, and AI agents is essential, as well as hands-on experience with complex debugging and large-scale data analysis.
