Job Description

Our team provides complete Observability and Management for the Oracle Database.  This involves deep instrumentation of the database kernel to measure a very broad range of database statistics and metrics. We build cloud-scale infrastructure to efficiently collect, process and persist these metrics for unique insights and analysis.

We have built patented features to use this comprehensive telemetry data to identify normal and anomalous database behaviors and learn various insights into the database workloads. We have also developed technologies to speed up execution time of SQL, and to self-diagnose performance bottlenecks.

Further enhancing the manageability offerings, we have also built Replay Technologies to enable the creation of comprehensive performance tuning environments to allow realistic testing of system changes, such as configuration parameters, schema changes, upgrades and more before they are applied to real production systems.

Our team has earned industry-wide recognition by way of conference publications and patents for these features.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will:

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
