What you'll do
Define and evolve architecture for Okta Federal’s SIPR/JWICS environments.
Design resilient infrastructure-as-code (IaC) blueprints for air-gapped setups.
Guide selection and integration of compliant, maintainable "High Side" tools.
Review and approve architectural changes to ensure security and compliance.
Establish technical strategy for observability and continuous monitoring in classified systems.
What we're looking for
12+ years of experience in systems architecture or DevSecOps engineering with at least 5 years in DoD Classified environments.
Deep expertise in Platform One/Cloud One, Big Bang, and Iron Bank for deploying and maintaining platforms in disconnected environments.
Strong understanding of Kubernetes (EKS/RKE2) and container orchestration in air-gapped setups.
Demonstrated experience architecting solutions to meet strict federal compliance frameworks like DoD CC SRG IL6, NIST 800-53, and FIPS 140-3.
Proven hands-on experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) for secure data transfer between Low Side and High Side networks.
Experience implementing Zero Trust Architecture principles in restrictive network environments.
