As a Principal Associate in Workiva’s agile pod, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of financial reporting automation by serving as a critical liaison between business strategy and technology. Your responsibilities include assisting Finance teams in leveraging core technological capabilities for maximum impact, resolving issues proactively, and providing technical leadership during implementation. You will work closely with Agile teams to design and support solutions for external reporting systems, manage customer relationships, and communicate complex technical problems to key stakeholders. This role requires expertise in SEC accounting and financial reporting, along with experience in agile software delivery and Python programming. Familiarity with Workiva Wdesk and AWS is also preferred. You will contribute to the development of strategies that ensure requirements are met and solutions are optimized for performance and scalability, making a significant impact on the division’s operations.

What you'll do

  • Identify and manage risks, assumptions, and dependencies throughout projects.
  • Support complex troubleshooting efforts across multiple platforms and environments.

What we're looking for

  • At least 3 years of experience in accounting or SEC reporting.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting systems and technologies.
  • Experience in agile software delivery methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Hands-on experience with Workiva Wdesk platform.
  • Ability to manage complex technical problems and customer escalations.
  • AWS Developer Certification preferred.
