What you'll do

• Solve complex, high-impact problems by integrating advanced technologies like GenAI into existing systems.
• Navigate legacy codebases and manage technical debt while driving innovation in large-scale distributed systems.
• Forecast architectural needs 1–2 years ahead and work with leadership to implement proactive solutions.
• Champion engineering excellence by setting standards for testing, observability, and code health under pressure.
• Unblock multi-team projects by building strategic relationships with product, design, and data science teams.

What we're looking for

• Experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems serving millions of users.
• Proficiency in backend development, software engineering fundamentals, and system design.
• Ability to lead complex technical projects spanning multiple teams or organizational areas.
• Domain knowledge in mobile telematics, sensor data, time-series data, or signal processing.
• Experience with streaming and real-time data pipelines or stream processing frameworks.
• Systems thinking and a track record of influencing technical direction across organizations.
