Join our dynamic team as a Sr. Incident Commander to lead Microsoft’s global cybersecurity response efforts, protecting customers from emerging threats. What you'll do

  • Perform initial triage on cyber incidents to assess risk and urgency.
  • Make critical decisions to swiftly mitigate risks for customers and Microsoft.
  • Document the entire lifecycle of a cybersecurity incident from start to finish.
  • Coordinate enterprise-wide teams to effectively resolve security incidents.
  • Provide timely executive updates detailing the impact and resolution of threats.

What we're looking for

  • Doctorate or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field with extensive cybersecurity experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, threat modeling, and anomaly detection.
  • Proven expertise in Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, and security incident management.
  • Strong program management skills for organizing information and problem-solving under uncertainty.
  • Experience in triaging security vulnerabilities and driving product/service response.
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, SANS, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP, or Security+ certification preferred.
