What you'll do

• Design and deploy machine learning models for natural language understanding tasks.
• Architect scalable training and inference pipelines using modern ML frameworks.
• Develop and fine-tune transformer-based models for text encoding and summarization.
• Conduct rigorous offline and online experiments to measure and improve model quality.
• Monitor model performance in production, diagnose issues, and ensure reliability.
• Identify opportunities to enhance model architectures and evaluation methodologies.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience in NLP, including modern transformer architectures for various tasks.
• Familiarity with distributed training, model optimization, and serving ML models at scale.
• Experience with text embedding models, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation patterns.
• Proficiency in Python and popular ML frameworks like PyTorch or Hugging Face Transformers.
• Strong background in building end-to-end ML pipelines using data platforms such as Spark or Databricks.
• Doctorate in a relevant field (Computer Science, Statistics) with 3+ years of related experience.
• Experience working on search ranking, relevance modeling, or information retrieval systems.
