What you'll do

• Leads proactive verification of code assumptions using debugging tools and tests to prevent issues in production.
• Conducts incident retrospectives to identify root causes, implement repairs, and prevent recurrence while maintaining privacy and security.
• Applies best practices for secure design principles and shares information with other engineers for new code development and validation.
• Drives product scaling efforts based on customer requirements, ensuring performance expectations and security promises are met.
• Leads experiments using feature flags/flighting to determine impact of changes, interprets results, and decides next steps or ship decisions.

What we're looking for

• Proven experience leading incident retrospectives to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Extensive knowledge in applying least-access principles, logging, telemetry for issue investigation while maintaining privacy and security.
• Strong background in developing secure code using well-established methods and secure design principles.
• Experience in scaling products to meet customer requirements with a focus on performance and security.
• Leadership in conducting experiments using feature flags/flighting, interpreting results, and making informed decisions.
