What you'll do

  • Lead the design and coordination of electrical systems for new and retrofit datacenter projects.
  • Manage A/E consultants to ensure compliance with Microsoft technical standards in electrical engineering.
  • Oversee specification and drawing development for all electrical systems, including power distribution and monitoring.
  • Interface with procurement teams, manufacturers, and global/local engineering teams to deliver electrical solutions.
  • Assist operations teams with strategic improvements for electrical systems and equipment.

What we're looking for

  • Professional Engineering License or ability to obtain within 2 years.
  • 3+ years experience in designing complex electrical engineering systems for large-scale projects.
  • Proven leadership in managing teams and cross-functional collaboration for datacenter operations.
  • Expertise in electrical power monitoring, distribution components, and high-voltage systems.
  • Solid understanding of building codes (NFPA 70) and standards (UL).
  • Experience with power system analysis tools like SKM, ETAP, or Cymcap.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and control systems relevant to datacenter environments.
