What you'll do

• Design and implement machine learning models to enhance Bing Places quality and relevance.
• Conduct data analysis to understand system behavior and define success metrics for AI tasks.
• Prototype new modeling approaches, iterating based on offline evaluation and online experimentation.
• Own experimentation pipelines including offline validation and large-scale A/B testing.
• Integrate models into production systems with engineers to ensure long-term reliability and performance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field plus 4+ years of experience or equivalent.
• Solid foundation in machine learning, statistical methods, and data-driven problem solving.
• Hands-on experience developing and evaluating models on large-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in Python and modern ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX.
• Strong understanding of experimentation methodologies including offline metrics and A/B testing.
• Experience applying AI solutions or LLMs to real-world systems with user impact.
• Background in search, information retrieval, knowledge graphs, or local/entity understanding.
