As a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) in the Technical Success team focused on Application Modernization and Migration at Microsoft, you will work closely with customers to ensure their success on Microsoft’s cloud platforms by designing and implementing production applications while mitigating technical risks. Your day-to-day responsibilities include curating high-quality guidance for both internal teams and external communities, driving feedback into core product development, mentoring team members, and executing migrations to the cloud. You will need expertise in Azure, GitHub, or other public clouds, along with hands-on experience in application development using languages like C#, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Ruby, Rust, and frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue. Additionally, proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Bicep and Terraform, RESTful web services, container orchestration technologies, and microservices architecture is essential for this role that demands a deep understanding of cloud computing domains and the ability to incubate new ideas and solve complex problems efficiently.
Design and implement cloud solutions to modernize and migrate customer applications.
Resolve complex technical issues to ensure smooth production operations for customers.
Develop and share best practices and guidance within the engineering community.
Mentor and develop technical skills of team members in Customer Success organization.
Execute application modernization projects on Microsoft Cloud platforms.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of cloud/infrastructure experience.
Expert hands-on experience in at least two areas: open-source software projects, solution artifacts development, modern web framework usage, or programming languages like C#, Java, Python.
1+ year experience architecting and developing intelligent applications using AI technologies.
Proficiency with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and other source code lifecycle management tools.
Experience in Linux/bash scripting and RESTful web services technologies including JSON and WebAPI.
Strong background in building, deploying, and operating cloud-based applications and microservices.
