What you'll do

Lead a team of Applied Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers focused on search and AI-driven discovery.
Define and execute the vision for next-generation search experiences using semantic retrieval, embeddings, and LLMs.
Develop end-to-end applied science systems including ranking models, evaluation frameworks, and A/B testing.
Ensure scientific rigor in offline evaluations and online experimentation to drive metrics-based decision-making.
Partner with product and engineering teams to translate complex problems into scalable production solutions.

What we're looking for

Deep experience in search relevance, ranking systems, semantic retrieval, or recommendation systems at scale.
5+ years of people management experience leading applied science or ML-focused teams.
Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt/agent orchestration, and AI-powered product experiences.
Proven ability to build evaluation frameworks and experimentation systems for ML/AI products.
Engineering background in deploying distributed systems or ML pipelines in cloud environments.
