What you'll do

• Conduct security design and code reviews to identify and mitigate risks in Microsoft products.
• Develop proof-of-concept mitigations against novel attack vectors on Windows OS.
• Partner with product engineering teams to integrate durable and scalable defense mechanisms.
• Identify vulnerabilities in key OS features such as network protocols and security functions.
• Engage with external security researchers to stay updated on the latest threats and protections.
• Articulate the business value of security investments to improve overall product security.

What we're looking for

• Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent 6+ years of security experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent 8+ years of security experience.
• Experience identifying vulnerabilities in operating systems and native applications.
• Strong background in software engineering or related security engineering roles.
• Proven track record in security research, particularly vulnerability discovery.
• Hands-on expertise with C/C++ for developing proof-of-concept mitigations.
