We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our innovative team focused on developing Azure Storage, a world-class distributed file system. You will collaborate closely with a talented team to architect new solutions for large-scale distributed systems, leveraging cutting-edge technologies in storage, memory, networking, and distributed systems. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience coding in C, C++, or Java, along with strong skills in data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, debugging, and analytical thinking. Experience in building and operating services at scale is preferred.

What you'll do

  • Design and optimize distributed file systems for Azure Storage.
  • Engineer the lowest layers of Azure storage service on DPUs.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, durability, and cost efficiency in storage solutions.
  • Develop new features for next-generation storage platforms.
  • Influence business and industry through cutting-edge technology contributions.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of technical engineering experience.
  • Proficient in coding languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in software engineering practices for large-scale systems.
  • Expertise in Storage, File Systems, Distributed Systems, Operating Systems, Networking, or Applications at scale.
