As a Software Engineering Manager at NVIDIA Data Center Systems, you will lead a distributed team of senior firmware and security engineers responsible for building security-critical root-of-trust (RoT) firmware that establishes hardware-rooted security across NVIDIA’s data center compute platforms. Your daily responsibilities include driving the adoption of modern software engineering practices such as rigorous code review, automated testing, and AI-assisted workflows to enhance team velocity and code quality. You will manage project planning, execution, and communication across multiple time zones, ensuring clear direction and fostering a culture of autonomy and continuous learning. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in security-critical firmware development, familiarity with NVIDIA’s data center platforms, and proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems. Additionally, you should have a strong track record in managing remote-first engineering teams and championing AI-forward practices to improve software delivery and security posture.
Own the delivery, quality, and security posture of root-of-trust firmware across platforms.
Lead and mentor a distributed team of senior engineers in firmware and security.
Drive adoption of modern software engineering practices for rigorous code review and testing.
Champion AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve team velocity and code quality.
Establish effective asynchronous communication practices for geographically distributed teams.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure firmware meets reliability and security standards.
What we're looking for
10+ years of relevant software or firmware engineering experience in security-critical systems.
5+ years of successful engineering management, building and scaling high-performing teams.
Deep expertise in modern software engineering methodologies and AI-assisted workflows.
Strong technical background in C/C++ and embedded systems with hands-on root-of-trust experience.
Excellent communication skills for remote, distributed team leadership.
Familiarity with NVIDIA Data Center platforms or equivalent hyperscale infrastructure.
Proven ability to build and sustain a strong team culture remotely.
