Zillow is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join the Applied Reasoning team within its Agentic AI organization. In this role, you will design and build scalable AI infrastructures and services that power Zillow’s next-generation real estate experiences, focusing on advancing multi-step reasoning and structured synthesis capabilities. You will develop robust agentic systems capable of autonomous operation in dynamic environments, implement monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure reliability, and collaborate closely with applied scientists and product teams to translate experimental prototypes into production-ready solutions. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience building ML systems, strong programming skills in Python, and expertise with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, and LangGraph, as well as a background in scalable cloud-based infrastructure design. This role involves working on large-scale real estate data to enhance the AI Assistant’s reasoning capabilities and improve customer experiences.

What we're looking for
2+ years of experience building production machine learning systems and services
Expertise in Python and popular ML/AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, LangChain, and LangGraph
Experience with AI agent frameworks, orchestration, and multi-step reasoning applications
Strong programming skills and ability to design scalable cloud-based ML infrastructure
Proven track record of collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
