As a Lead Software Engineer at loanDepot, you will join the mello® team to design and build high-quality digital mortgage solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities include translating user stories into technical designs, building responsive UIs using Angular or React, and contributing to web, mobile, and desktop applications in an enterprise environment. You’ll lead technical design on complex features, write maintainable code with a focus on testability and performance, and leverage AI-assisted tools for development tasks. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews, ensure security best practices are followed, mentor junior engineers, and assist in diagnosing production issues. The role requires strong experience with frontend development, engineering practices such as CI/CD pipelines, and developing applications on Microsoft Azure. Experience in mortgage or fintech platforms is a plus.
