What you'll do
Manages dockets for US and PCT applications, ensuring all deadlines are met.
Prepares and files various patent-related documents with the USPTO and foreign offices.
Coordinates Assignments, Powers of Attorney, and Declarations with internal and external counsel.
Tracks and updates patent prosecution status in databases and docketing systems.
Develops best practices to enhance efficiency and compliance within the IP Department.
Processes patent-related emails and correspondence from IP team and legal counsel.
Monitors and reports on official correspondence with foreign associates.
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience in the legal field and industry-specific legal experience
Both in-house or private practice law firm experience required
Skilled in USPTO prosecution procedures, rules, and forms
Expertise in using computer databases and web-based platforms for patent prosecution
Solid knowledge of U.S. and international patent filing procedures and rules
Ability to manage multiple complex dockets and portfolios with minimal guidance
Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
